Modern wireless communication systems, due to the increasingly advanced PHY protocols and the multitude of operating bands, quite often require development of custom technological solutions. It could be done either by combining available components, as well as by developing personalized components from scratch. We have the knowledge and tools to design, build and test complementary Digital Front-End (DFE) and Analog Front-End (AFE) solutions.
We carry out comprehensive designs of DFE RF digital modules tailored to the needs of our customers.
As part of the DFE functionality, we implement, among others:
• Digital Up/Down conversion blocks allowing aggregation of radio carriers (Carrier Aggregation),
• Algorithms improving efficiency of the AFE, i.e. DPD and CFR,
• Implementation of appropriate I/O protocols – SerDes Lite, JESD204B, LVDS, CPRI etc.
• Diagnostic subsystem allowing probing and injecting I/Q samples,
• TDD sequencers,
• DFE controllers with drivers.
The DFE RF digital module design flow may include:
• Support in analysis of system requirements and development of conceptual documentation and product specifications,
• Preparation of cost estimates and schedule for the implementation of the DFE,
• Selection of components (taking into account time and cost optimization),
• Implementation of the DFE RF module design, which could consist of: hardware and system architecture, selection of IP cores available on the market, integration and implementation of diagnostic systems,
